Odessa Texas shooting: Gunmen 'open fire from vehicles, with 30 shot

Several people, believed to include a state trooper, have been shot in a "random" attack by gunmen in Texas.

There are two confirmed dead and 10 confirmed injuries, possibly up to 20 victims, said Devin Sanchez, a spokesman for the City of Odessa, reported ABC News.

Police believe shots are being fired from two vehicles, including a hijacked postal truck.

CBS7 says "several" people including an officer were shot by a suspect in a gold coloured car, armed with a rifle.

The shootings are said to have happened on the westbound lanes of the I-20 motorway, while ABC says that an shooter was reported at a Home Depot in Odessa.

Chilling pictures posted on social media claim to show bullet holes on a windscreen as a result of the incident.
